Mitsubishi Releases 2026 Outlander Technical Specifications
The automaker lists a turbocharged 1.5-liter four, 174 horsepower and seven-passenger seating. Pricing and on-sale timing were not given.
Mitsubishi has published technical specifications for the 2026 Outlander, listing a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, seven-passenger seating and combined fuel economy of up to 28 mpg, according to a release from Mitsubishi Cars Media.
The Outlander is powered by a 1.5-liter MIVEC DOHC turbocharged inline-four with a 48-volt belt-driven starter generator, the company said. Mitsubishi listed displacement at 1,499 cc and a bore and stroke of 75.0 mm by 84.8 mm, with a compression ratio of 10.5:1.
The engine produces 174 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 206 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 to 4,000 rpm, according to the release. Redline is 6,000 rpm. The Outlander uses a continuously variable transmission.
Mitsubishi listed city and highway fuel economy of 26 mpg and 31 mpg for two-wheel-drive models, and 26 mpg and 30 mpg for models equipped with the company's S-AWC all-wheel-drive system. Combined fuel economy is 28 mpg for two-wheel-drive versions and 27 mpg for S-AWC versions, the company said. Fuel capacity is 14.5 gallons.
Curb weight ranges from 3,770 pounds for the ES two-wheel-drive model to 3,991 pounds for the Black Edition S-AWC, according to the release. Mitsubishi listed gross vehicle weight rating at 5,247 pounds for two-wheel-drive models and 5,368 pounds for S-AWC models, and towing capacity at 2,000 pounds.
The Outlander seats seven, the company said. Mitsubishi listed overall length at 185.8 inches, width at 74.7 inches and height at 68.8 inches, on a 106.5-inch wheelbase. Ground clearance is 8.4 inches. The release listed a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, each with a stabilizer bar.
According to the company, SAE passenger volume is 120.8 cubic feet with the sunroof. Cargo volume measures 10.9 cubic feet behind the third row, 30.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 64.3 cubic feet behind the first row, the release said.
Pricing and on-sale timing were not announced in the release. Any figures the company labels as estimates carry that qualifier and were not independently verified.
