Correction
On the people J.D. Power counted in its 2026 Initial Quality Study.
An earlier version said the 2026 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study drew on 78,514 "buyers." The count is right; the word is not. J.D. Power counted purchasers. A purchaser signs and keeps. A buyer, in plainer usage, is anyone who walks in, and the study did not survey foot traffic. The record is corrected.
