Kia Posts Record June and First-Half U.S. Sales, Led by Hybrids
The brand sold 70,507 units in June and 430,727 year to date, both all-time highs, with hybrid volume up 187 percent.
Kia America said Wednesday it set U.S. sales records in June and in the first half of 2026, with hybrid models driving the growth.
Kia sold 70,507 units in June, up 10 percent from a year earlier and its best-ever June, the company said. Through the first six months of the year, Kia sold 430,727 units, up 3 percent, which it said set all-time records for both June and first-half sales in the U.S. market.
Hybrid variants led the June gains, according to Kia. The company reported year-over-year increases of 165 percent for the Sportage hybrid, 114 percent for the Sorento hybrid and 54 percent for the Carnival hybrid, along with gains of 56 percent for the Seltos and 24 percent for the Telluride.
Across the lineup, Kia said its hybrid models grew 187 percent year over year in June, while its broader electrified lineup grew 118 percent. Retail sales rose 17 percent, Kia said.
The company said the all-new Seltos will begin full-scale U.S. sales nationwide in July.
