Kia Prices the 2027 Carnival From $37,490, Adds Available Captain's Chairs
The nine-trim gas and hybrid ladder runs to $53,590, with second-row Captain's Chairs newly available on EX and SX, Kia said.
IRVINE, Calif. - Kia America announced pricing and model-year updates for the 2027 Carnival, a three-row MPV that starts at $37,490 for the base LX front-wheel-drive trim, the company said July 6. That figure excludes a $1,545 destination charge.
Kia listed five gasoline trims: the LX at $37,490, the LXS at $39,490, the EX at $41,690, the SX at $46,590 and the SX Prestige at $51,590. The hybrid range comprises four trims: the HEV LXS at $41,490, the HEV EX at $43,690, the HEV SX at $48,590 and the HEV SX Prestige at $53,590, according to the company.
For the 2027 model year, second-row Captain's Chairs are newly available on the EX and SX trims, Kia said, a change the company said improves access between the second and third rows.
Kia also said it added Iceberg Green exterior paint for the EX, SX and SX Prestige models and discontinued Flare Red.
Kia describes the Carnival as offering class-leading passenger space, a claim the company bases on its own Mid-Size MPV segmentation and a comparison of 2026 and 2027 models. All figures are Kia's own.
Editorial disclosure: Kia couriered to Drive Observer a single second-row VIP Lounge captain's chair, upholstered in Iceberg Green, mounted on brass casters beside the news desk with a foot pedal that reclines it and elevates the footrest, boxed with a swatch card retiring Flare Red and a note inviting the desk to 'ride between the rows.'
