Palou Wins Portland in an All-Honda 1-2-3, His Sixth Win of the Season

Honda said Alex Palou took the OnlyBulls Grand Prix of Portland ahead of Felix Rosenqvist and Will Power, and that he leads the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES standings by 110 points with five races left.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Alex Palou won the OnlyBulls Grand Prix of Portland in an all-Honda podium sweep, his sixth win of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, Honda said Aug. 10.

Felix Rosenqvist (No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda), the polesitter and 2026 Indianapolis 500 winner, led 33 laps and finished second, losing the lead to Palou in the first pit cycle. Will Power (No. 26 Andretti Global Honda) was third, his third third-place finish of the year in his first season with the team.

Honda said Palou (No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda) holds a 110-point championship lead with five races left and is seeking a fourth consecutive IndyCar championship. Kyle Kirkwood finished fifth, ahead of Andretti teammate Marcus Ericsson in sixth, and retook second in the drivers' championship.

Honda powered five of the top six finishers, its fourth podium sweep of the season, and leads the manufacturers' championship 1129-996, the company said. The release lists Honda-powered cars only, not the full field.

Rosenqvist's Indianapolis 500-winning engine reached 2,000 miles run in the series over the Portland weekend, earning a 50-point manufacturers' bonus, Honda said in an Aug. 9 release.

Next is the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham, Aug. 14 to 16.
