Lucid Says Gravity Grand Touring Covered 720 Kilometers on One Charge at Norway's Summer El Prix

Lucid announced on June 4 that its Gravity Grand Touring traveled 720 kilometers on a single charge at this year's Summer El Prix in Norway, the longest distance by a seven-seat SUV. The announcement reached this masthead Aug. 2.

Lucid said it also recorded the second-longest distance of the 24 vehicles entered. The release does not identify the vehicle that traveled farther.

Norges Automobil-Forbund (NAF) and Motor, a Norwegian automotive magazine, run the El Prix twice a year in what Lucid's release calls "the world's largest real-world EV evaluation." All vehicles begin fully charged and run from Oslo through Lillehammer and Dombås, with the final stretch between Hjerkinn and Rondane Gjestegård repeated until a vehicle can no longer hold the speed limit. The run was made without charging stops and covered city traffic, mountain roads, highways and secondary roads, Lucid said.

The 720 kilometers is what one vehicle covered on one route on one day, not a rating. Lucid lists the Gravity Grand Touring's WLTP combined range separately as 712 to 748 kilometers, and its output as 617 kW (839 PS).

"This test reinforces our leadership in range and underscores the Gravity's unique position as the European range leader among premium seven-seat SUVs," said Lawrence Hamilton, president of Europe at Lucid.

Lucid said the Air Grand Touring took the longest range at the 2026 Winter El Prix, 520 kilometers, and set an all-time record of 828 kilometers at last year's Summer El Prix. U.S. pricing and availability were not addressed.
