Mazda Increases Destination and Handling Charges by $80 to $115, Effective Aug. 11
Mazda North American Operations said the adjusted destination and handling charges run from $1,315 on the Mazda3 and MX-5 Miata to $1,645 on the CX-70 and CX-90, that they affect vehicles released from port after the effective date, and that vehicles in Alaska continue to be subject to an additional $45 delivery charge.
IRVINE, Calif. - Mazda North American Operations has adjusted its destination and handling (D&H) charges, effective Aug. 11, the company said.
Mazda said the newly adjusted D&H price is increased by $80 for cars, $100 for compact crossovers and $115 for mid-size crossover models. The company did not publish the previous charges, and it did not state which models fall into each of those three categories.
Mazda listed the adjusted charges by model:
- Mazda3: $1,315 - CX-30: $1,595 - CX-5: $1,595 - CX-50: $1,595 - CX-70: $1,645 - CX-90: $1,645 - MX-5 Miata: $1,315
The charges affect vehicles being released from port after the effective date, Mazda said. The release does not address vehicles already in dealer inventory.
Vehicles in Alaska continue to be subject to an additional $45 delivery charge, according to the company. That charge is separate from the increase and is not new.
Mazda did not announce vehicle pricing in the release, and no total or out-the-door figure is established by it.
